Follow The Boss
Acts 13:44-52; Psalm 98:1-4; John 14:7-14;
God sent His only Son to live amongst us, just like the show Undercover Boss where the boss goes incognito and works as a normal entry-level employee. The boss takes the opportunity to know the work ethics and discover lots of interesting things about his own employees. In the end, the boss reveals himself and rewards only the hardworking employees with outstanding work ethics. Likewise, Jesus came down from Heaven to be with us, although He knew how it was to live in this life. He experienced the joy and pain of being human, and He endured all things for He wanted us to be saved. He awaits us with a great reward.
Unlike the undercover boss, Jesus already made it easier for us to be rewarded, for He won for us the greatest reward, which is eternal life. He saved us from sins.
For us to be rewarded by our Boss, we just have to deny ourselves, take up our daily cross and follow Him.
By following Him, we have to live our lives according to His will and not ours. Let’s not waste the great sacrifice that Jesus did for us. Let’s continue what He started and share God’s love, spread His Word and lead God’s people to salvation.
John 14:12 states, “Whoever believes in me will do the works that I do.”
Is God calling you to do His work? This may be the day to say “yes” to His invitation.
