Light Within Darkness
1 John 2:3-11; Luke 2:22-35
Whoever follows the Lord’s ways finds light even in midst of darkness. If one says I am in the light but lives life in hatred of others walk in darkness without a guide, for he doesn’t know which way to go, and darkness has cause him to be blind to what is going on.
With the Lord guiding us, we may never be lost even in the midst of trails and failures. The bible is not telling us that if we follow the Lord’s ways we may never experience hardships, but it is telling us that should we be facing such a hardship, we will still be able to find inner peace and joy within that hardship knowing that The Lord will guide us and take care of us, and everything that comes out of it will be good.
Mary was given the blessedness of being the mother of Jesus. That blessedness also became the sword that pierced her heart as her Son died upon the cross. She received both joy and sorrow, but her joy wasn’t diminished by her sorrow because it was fueled by her faith, hope and trust in God and His promises.
