Reflections From The Bible And Life

Heart To Heart

1 Samuel 16:1-13; Psalm 89:20-28; Mark 2:23-28

It is so heartwarming to see kids flock to you whenever you’re around, even if they are not related to you. I volunteer my services in places where I can, like Virlanie Foundation. Every week I tutor kids. As soon as I arrive, there’s this little girl who runs to me. Although  she speaks to me in her cute grammatically incorrect language  as she’s still less than two, I understand the love the she conveys. It’s so touching and tear-jerking in a nice way.

Most likely, that is how God is with us. No matter how imperfect we are, He still loves us and sees past all our imperfections. He focuses more on our goodness than our flaws. Even if we don’t say anything, He feels our love and wants to love us back.

God loves us dearly. We don’t have to do anything to impress Him. He knows our hearts and sees that we have our fill of His love. He always looks forward to have a hearty relationship with us.

Everywhere you go, whether in job applications involving customer service, stewarding, front desk, etc. to choosing a boyfriend or girlfriend, most people look by outward appearances, but the Lord looks at a person’s thoughts and intentions and nothing more. There’s no discrimination with our loving and just God. Loving us makes Him happy!
