Working Together For The Glory Of God
Acts 16:1-10; Psalm 100:1-5; John 15:18-21
In 2008, our bishop and his priest ministers embarked on an in-depth assessment and evaluation of the diocese. They came up with a 3-year pastoral plan, which was launched and transmitted to the people for observance. Much of the goals have already been laid out. During meetings with vicars and dioceses, it’s noted that all the parishes were concerted in their activities and moving in the same direction towards building the Church.
As long as serving God is our one and only goal, we will always be united in our work, and our efforts will bring out good results in magnitude as we work hand in hand. The moment we stop being humble and replace our service to God with pride, and selfish ambition, we will never succeed as one people.
We are bound to encounter rejections from other people in what we do, for even the builders rejected the stone, the stone being Jesus Christ. If our Master, Jesus Christ was treated that way, we will also be treated that way, for we are no greater than our Master. But we don’t have to be afraid, for God will send His Holy Spirit to empower and guide us as long as we are doing His will, and we shall succeed.
