Reflections From The Bible And Life

Be Havens For The Weary

Acts 2:14, 36-41; Psalm 23:1-6; 1 Peter 2:20-25; John 10:1-10;

Today’s reading teaches us to trust and believe in God, as well as follow His ways. We have been metaphorically compared to flocks of sheep whose shepherd is Jesus Christ. We being His sheep recognize only the voice of the Lord’s, for any other voice, we treat as strangers. This is how He wants us to be.

Following His ways, we are supposed to shepherd other flocks towards our shepherd as well. We can do this by touching other people’s hearts through our actions, thoughts, words and thus leading by examples.

God provides us the tools necessary to carry on this mission, as long as our hearts are into it. By providing a resting place for all the weary souls, we gain people’s trust, and are able to lead them to the right path.

The bible teaches us that there is only one way to out Father in Heaven and that is through Jesus Christ. If we believe in Him and His teachings, as well as practice His ways, we unlock the gate to abundance of blessings . All we have to do is knock on His door and the floodgates of blessings will flow.

Lord, may you send down the Holy Spirit upon us and guide us that we may be able to live our lives according to Your ways and lead others to You along the way.
