Daniel 3:14-26; John 8:31-42
Have you ever experienced having a loved one struggle for his life in the hospital? It’s quite parallel to our struggle to overcome the brokenness of sin. Although we usually fall into this vicious cycle to sinning and repenting afterwards, we shouldn’t be discouraged in trying to get out of it.
We are God’s children. Although we have fallen countless times, we will always be God’s children, since Jesus set us free when he sacrificed Himself for us. Our victories in our daily battle against sin does not make us God’s children. Our work is to transform ourselves to look like our Father. It’s a recovery process that we have to undergo in order to look like Him.
As long as God sees our genuine struggle against sin and our efforts to be like Him, we will eventually look like Him! 🙂
