Reflections From The Bible And Life

Having Expectant Faith

Matthew 6:26; Isaiah 49:14-15; Psalm 62:2-3, 6-7, 8-9; 1Corinthians 4:15; Matthew 6:24-34;

I often worry about a lot of things in my life. A lot of us do. The readings I had today tells us to put our faith and trust in the Lord, and expect that He will provide for us. Nature teaches us so, like the birds in the sky, down to the worms. They never run out of things that they need. For God provides for them. We too, should have that kind of expectant faith. No matter how bad your situation is, expect that god will help you.

Of course you have to do your part as well. Having expectant faith doesn’t mean you sit around and do nothing and just wait for His blessings. We still have to do our best and pray, of course. If we do our part and have faith in the Lord, nothing can go wrong. Life is too short to be worrying about things. We ought to enjoy it while we experience it. Leave the worrying to the Lord. He will take care of us! 🙂
