Reflections From The Bible And Life

The Man In The Picture

1 Peter 5:1-4; Psalm 23 1-6; Mathhew 16:13-19;

Who is Jesus Christ to you?

As kids we look at Jesus Christ as merely some image hanging on our bedroom walls. But as we grew up and found out more about Jesus and the way he lived his life, we are drawn with love and compassion for him. Jesus sacrificed himself to save us from sins. God sent down his only son because he loves us and wants to show us what love really means.

We often get caught up with the things of this world. We tend to do our chores mechanically, like we just have to do them. We suffer in bitterness unwillingly. We treat the people around us the way we think we should. What is lacking is the love and passion that Christ showed us. We should do our chores because we want to do them. We do our chores perfectly to glorify Him. We should be bitter in our sufferings for we know that God will not leave us in that state without a reason, for everything that comes from Him is good! We should treat one another with love and genuine concern for one another, just as Christ has shown us. How we treat one another is how we treat Him, for the Lord is in every one of us.

Lord teach us to glorify you in everything that we think, say and do!
